Sweet Alpha Doodles & Stickers

Hey there sweet peeps!
I'm so happy to be on the Sweet Stamp Shop Blog this morning to share some goodies with you that won't put you into a diabetic coma like all of that Halloween candy you've been snaggin' from your kiddos' buckets. Don't worry, they'll never know ;).

One of my favorite sets from SSS is the
 Sweet Alpha Doodles
set. You can create any sentiment you'd like and there are some sweet frames you can use with the letters.

I have had these owl stickers for some time and I wanted to use them WITH stamps to show that it's possible to use both and not overdo a card.

I used similar elements on each card to create the set but don't feel like you have to make each card exactly the same for them to "go together".
I repeated a few things on each card to keep them cohesive.
1. Patterned paper
2. tags
3. October Afternoon spray ink
4. hexagon embossing folder
5. washi
6. crochet lace
7. stickers

I created this quatrefoil mask on my Silhouette and just spritzed over it with my Hopscotch ink.

On this card I used the asterisk stamp to create confetti.

And there you have it a sweet little set to give to friend or use as thank yous.
Hope you have a great day.
Stay stampy my friends.
-Misty

Old School Rock & Sweeeeeeeet Alpha Doodles :)

Hi Everyone!
Ellen here today with a couple layouts for you.

First up I have a layout for you using the Sweet Alpha Doodle Set. I love this set so much. MUCH better than my handwriting, LOL!

You can use this set for titles or journaling. I love its fun, whimsical feel!

And next up is a layout using the Old School Rock stamp set AND the Sweet Alpha Doodles set.

Here are a few deets:
1.) I only used the "rock" part of one of the sentiments from the Old School Rock stamp set.
2.) Turn the speaker stamp upside down so you can have it go the opposite direction. {see close up}
3.) The teeny little journal lines from the Alpha Doodles stamp set are in the rectangles. I did some journaling in them. Perfect size to fit in some journaling on those layouts!

Have you seen this technique where you fold the circles in to create the square, quilted look?  I first saw it over on the Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine blog. This is my interpretation. I used my scalloped circle shape from Spellbinders and then folded them in...kind of the same effect just a bit different.

Here is a close-up of the pattern that the folded scalloped circles create and the small journal lines from the Sweet Alpha Doodle Stamp set.

I hope I have inspired you to stamp on those layouts!!!

SSS/Core'dinations/Petaloo Day 1

Good morning!  Sweet Stamp Shop is teaming up with Petaloo and Core'dinations this week to bring you lots of back to school projects!

Up first is Jamie!
Today I am altering a pencil box that I picked up from Office Max last week for 10 cents...yes, $0.10!  I love the office store back to school specials :)  I used the Sweet Alpha Doodles stamp set along with some goodies from Petaloo and Core'dinations!
Have a look...
Supplies:
Stamps: Sweet Alpha Doodles (Sweet Stamp Shop)
Cardstock: Lime Green and Purple (Core'dinations)
Flower: Cardinal Red Mulberry Paper Flowers (Petaloo)
Adhesive: 1/2" Tape (Scrappy Tape)
Adhesive Runner and 1/4" Zapdots (Helmar)
Ribbon: Green (May Arts)
Ink: Tuxedo Black and Pistachio (Momento)
Other: Pencil Box (from Office Max)
1.  Cut the lime green paper to 9" x 3-1/2" then score at 2-1/4, 3-1/2, 6-1/2, and 7-1/4.
2.  Use the Core'dinations sanding block to sand the score lines and around the edges
3.  Apply adhesive tape to both ends and wrap it around the box.  Remove the paper backing and
    adhere.
4.  Your box should look like this
5.  Cut a 1-1/2" x 3" piece of the lime green paper and sand all over.  Remove all the dust.
6.  Stamp the large frame from the Sweet Doodle Stamp set in the center of the small green
     paper.
7.  This is my favorite little trick for letter placement!  Line all your letters up just how you want
them in your frame so that you can read them.
8.  Then simply place your acrylic block over the stamps and press down and they are ready to
     ink!
9.  Ink the letters and then center them in the already stamped frame.
10. Use the lined stamp and Pistachio ink and ink the paper on the box using the stamp horizontally.  Note: Keeping the paper on the box gives a more distressed pattern as it does not stamp fully in some spots.
11. Then go back and stamp vertically to create a checked pattern!
12. This is what your box should look like.  Embellish as desired!

Next up is Misty with a quick and easy gift set.

I'm so happy to share this sweet little teacher gift with you. My kids will start a brand new school right after Labor Day. I want to make a good impression on their new teachers ;).
I began by printing out the template from PI. I used the given measurements to cut and score my Core cardstock. I love the two tone weave look of this particular Core paper. Then I stamped the strip of apples from School's Out on the yellow Core paper and then water colored them in red and green. I traced the pencil holder template, cut and folded it and then attached it to the notepad holder piece. I finished off the gift by adding gorgeous coordinating Petaloo flowers to the front with a great sentiment from Sweet Stamp Shop's School's Out set. Thanks for taking a look and I hope you make some time to create!

for Christmas or Love... or anything! How
inventive and interactive! She's a genius!

Sweet Alpha Doodles are
so much fun!

Actually, my favorite lady
Savannah also used
the alpha set to create

Holiday Greetings!!

Hello Fellow Friends!

Just a short little post full
of amazing inspiration.

The holidays are coming up
around the corner and wait till you
see the cards that the girls
have come up with!

was completely GENIUS!
She grabbed the 'Sweet Alpha
Doodles' set...

and look what she came up with!

Ahhh-mazing!

Make sure to head over to her blog and
tell her what a *great* idea this is.
(I'm totally stealing this idea for a card class!)

Wait till you see Lindsay's masterpiece!

She used the Gnomies set

How cute is that Gnomie?

And so well colored!

Make sure to go over and give her some
love on her blog... she's pretty amazing!

Actually, my whole design team is!

Hope everyone has a relaxing
Sunday... gearing up for
the holiday craziness!

Sweet Alpha Doodles!

Hello All!

Just a quick little post
for you today!

Have you had a chance to
check out our 'Sweet Alpha
Doodles' set... it's my handwriting
and lots of great 'extras'!!

It's quirky and whimsical and
just really fun to play with!

Check out the card Geny
made with it!

What an easy and fun birthday card!
You could use this idea for any
age! And I bet you could make
a set of cards that could be customizable
for a gift. You know, leave the number space
blank and give them a bunch of
loose numbers to make the birthday cards
that they want to.

Yeah, that's actually a brilliant idea.
I just might try it!

I'm off to make a couple videos today...
it's been *way* too long. Period.

Happy Crafting!

Also, don't forget for a limited time
'Watchin TV' is only $10! Use coupon
 code: WT10

Hugs,
N.
