Sweet Tooth Tuesday - Gelatos

It's that time again! Danielle Pandeline here with another video for you.  This time I am tacking Gelatos! When these creamy chap stick things came out I wasn't sure what to think. But, I have learned to LOVE them by just PLAYING! Sometimes you have to just play with a medium to get to know it. It's fun to get messy and covered in colors to come out with an AMAZING result! I know you know what I'm talking about!

Here is my card that I made using Gelatos, Stencil, Paint Brush and some Sweet Stamp Shop Stamps.  The background is used by smearing the Gelatos across the background in an Ombre patterned, then spritzed with water and go back and forth with your paint brush. EASY PEASY right?  Then to make the silver circles, I took the stencil and rubbed the Gelatos over the area I wanted. Took a baby wipe ( A stampers best friend!) and smooshed the silver Gelato around in circles. Peel up the stencil and VIOLA! Instant texture. Now, be sure to let the Gelato dry over night! Remember it is a soft creamy medium, it will dry with time.

 I used Spin Me and Alpha Tabs to create this BRIGHT, FUN and AMAZING card.

Sweet Tooth Tuesdays - Metallic Foils

Danielle Pandeline here did you miss me?  I was off the hook last Tuesday and I know you are dying to see the latest video I have up my CRAFTY sleeve. Well, I am digging up an old technique that might have be lost and forgotten in the stamping world. FOILS! Yes, I said Foil.  I was just reintroduced of the technique and went digging through my stash and found my Foil Kit.  With the trend of the color Gold coming back in full force this technique is perfect and EASY to ad a bit of Gold or other metallic color to your project.

Let's Recap!
 You will need the following..
- Zig 2 Way Glue / Tombo Mono Multi / Quickie Glue (just one of these)
- Foil Sheets in any color
- Sweet Stamp Shop Stamps
- Project

Start by stamping your stamp where ever you want it.
Trace the image with your choice of the glue I mentioned.
Let the glue dry. It should be tacky to the touch, and DRY.
Lay your foil over the area and press around the raised glue with your finger.
Pull up the foil.
SURPRISE!!!
You now have a beautiful shiny metallic image.
If you see any missed spots that the foil didn't stick to, just place the foil down and rub again. You can do this to any missing spots.

Isn't this just a FUN, Old School Technique.  I know I totally forgot about, but now I am having a blast adding Metallic touches to all my projects.

Sweet Tooth Tuesdays - Glossy Accents

Hey Everyone! It's Danielle Pandeline here with your Sweet Tooth Tuesday fix! I know you have been at the edge of your seat waiting for the next tutorial.  Well, then today you are in for a SWEET TREAT! I am going to show you how to add a GLOSSY touch to your cards.

For this card I had fun with it and randomly placed items with lots of layers.  I used Afternoon Delight and Today Was from the Sweet Shop.

I also created this fun card using the same technique! I made this car with the idea that it would be great for a Science Fair Winner or a Straight A Student!  

Check out the dimension from the glossy accents! I know you want to Gloss everything now! lol

Chemistry

Lets recap on how to use Glossy Accents.

1) Use small circle motions
2) Never pick up the tip out of the liquid, to prevent bubbles
3) Tap on the underside of the cardstock to level the liquid and move bubbles
4) If you have bubbles, use a pin to pop them
5) Allow, to dry over night for best results

Sweet Tooth Tuesday - Emboss Resist

Happy Tuesday everyone! Danielle Pandeline here with a Sweet Tooth Tuesday Video.  Today, I am going to show you how to use an Emboss Resist technique to create a fabulous colorful background.  For my card today I used the Distressed Chevron background stamp. I just can't get enough of this stamp, it is very versitile.


TA-DA! Isn't this an AMAZING Ombre effect. I just can't get enough of playing with watercolors lately. It's a HUGE stress reliever for me.

And for the sentiment I used Spin Me from the June Release.

Here are the steps:
1)Use a piece of Watercolor Paper
2) Pick a Background Stamp
3) Stamp in Versamark Ink
4) Apply Embossing Powder
5) Tap off Excess
6) Heat with Heat Gun
7) Apply Watercolors, Shimmer Sprays or Color Mists (your choice)
8) Wipe excess color from embossed image
.....and your done! You now have a colorful background to use on your card.
