Hey everyone, hope you are doing great this Throwback Thursday! I have been channeling my inner "spooky side" this week and am featuring Haunted House.

Well I love to work in layers. I like texture and dimension and it is so easy to achieve with just a few steps.
On this card I started to add my layers with paper adding a few different patterns that were of similar styles and offsetting them as I layered them on top of each other. Next I took a frame I glittered in black to match the theme of my card. Then just a little bow and a sentiment to finish it off. And just to help bring a little bit more character to the card I added the arrows to bring the focus to the center.
Easy huh?
Here
is another example of layering. This one I added paint splotches to
create texture on my card without adding dimension. Or, as you can see,
even adding a pop of color to a stamped image will give an illusion of
more texture and even dimension. Do you have old acrylic paints just
laying around??? Try breaking them out and adding a bit of water to the
paint and splattering it on your card. I think you will really love the
effect it adds to your card. It's a great way to make custom back ground
paper and then add all your layers on top of it.
