When tasked with using the Sentimental Birds set this week I couldn't help but go ghoulish ;). It is definitely starting to feel like fall in these parts. We actually built our first fire of the season last week! Sentimental Birds is such a versatile set. You can use it for any season or any reason. The sentiments are perfect and say just about anything you need them to say. Without further ado, here's the project that I came up with.
Make sure you stick around until the end of the post for the reveal of the secret ingredient used on this project.
I also used the Sweet Stamp Shop Frank and Ghost characters to go along with the Sentimental Birds. They work perfect in tandem. That crystal pendant is from Teresa Collins and used to be clear but I used my alcohol inks to dye it to match my project.

Creating the spooky, little scenes was my favorite part. I began by embossing the Sentimental Birds stamp on my backgrounds. I used the Blackbird collection by My Minds Eye for my button elements and patterned papers.I added beads and floral wire for more 3-D elements.
The pumpkin's and the "trick-or-treat" sentiments are from the SSS Haunted House set. Great little extras for these sweet scenes. The pops of grass are and EK Success punch that I've had for years.
Accordion rosettes will always hold a special place in my heart. They pack a whole lotta punch for something so easy to make. It just fit so nicely as a topper for this wall hanging.
And now for the big reveal of the secret ingredient to all this cuteness.....
Yup, that's right! I used the packaging from my Laughing Cow cheese as little shadow boxes to make this super piece of holiday decor.
