Van is with us today showing off some CAS cards that just make you smile. AND, it kinda reminds me of a card I might see at a cute little downtown paper shop. (something that might cost $4 or so!)

You remember Van, right?!

If not - here's a little bit about her...

I am a dedicated memory keeper who loves all things cute and bright. I have two adorable kids, am married to my high school sweetheart, and am a recovering attorney turned stay at home mom. I am a proud Navy wife and am currently living in Honolulu, Hawaii. I studied history in college and graduate school. In retrospect, scrapbooking is the perfect collision of my obsession with pretty paper and passion for documenting family history.  You can find me at my blog: http://likethecar.blogspot.com

We've Moved Card.  There are so many reasons that I love SSS stamps.  One of the main reasons is how perfect they are to make some really striking cards that are super fast and easy.  When making moving announcements, you often have to make A LOT so one layer is the way to go in my book.  I used some Jenni Bowlin brown ink as my primary color for the sentiment and outline then stamped the solid building images in a red and turquoise.  Then it's done!  How fun and easy is that?!?!?

A Day in the City Card.  This is another single layer card with some fun twists.  I love the idea of two step stamping (i.e. you stamp a solid image and then the outline or vise versa).  So I made my own sold image "stamps" based on the outline stamps using some craft foam and Xyron repositional adhesive.  Easy peasy.  And then I paired the building image with some hand drawn cars I learned from my old school Ed Emberly books.

Isn't Van the best!! - Be sure to check out the rest of her stuff on her blog - HERE.

Happy Stamping!

  1. I love, love, love the new releases Nicole! If the home inspection goes well, I'm about to move myself, but once that's done I should have more space and time to craft again. I can't wait.
