Hello all you crafty peeps out there! Misty here with a quick tip to make your brightly colored cards shine! Sometimes all it takes is changing up your base color. So, instead of using white or black or our other go to's we can choose something like Kraft paper for our background.
Kraft is a great neutral base and when you emboss in white on it it just takes it to another level.
I used this technique in all of the following cards..even my Zombie Nesting Dolls card :)
I am seriously in love with the stamps from this months release. I swear Color Wheel was made for me!!

Carefully filling in the Color Wheel image with alcohol markers brings brightness and interest to the card.
I thought using this technique to make a group of dolls from the Nesting set would look sweet, but...
when I finished this card I took one look at it and I jokingly told Nicole that these Nesting dolls reminded me of a pack of Zombies saying, "You're The Best...We want your brains!"
Still, the colors pop like magic! :)

And finally I used the paint chip image from Color Wheel, embossed in white, and cut out the "windows" from it. I colored the strip underneath and added a Teresa Collins transparency sheet over the top for a bit of graphic flair.
Hope, you've enjoyed this little foray into the wildly fabulous world of Kraft paper. When used with your stamps it can really give your project a fun new look.
