Epiphany Crafts and Some Sweet!

Hello and Happy Monday fellow crafters! We're here this week showing off some really cool products from Epiphany Crafts! Have you ever tried their punches? THEY are so COOL!!

They have all different shapes and sizes .... they also have great accessories to go with they're tools!
These punches are so much fun to work with. Kelly is on the blog today showin' off some pretty amazing cards using Epiphany Crafts punches - take it away Kelly! -- Be sure to read all the way to the bottom - we have a great give'a'way this week!

Good Morning crafters! I cannot tell you how excited I am to be kicking off our week today!

Epiphany Shape Studio has always been something that looked so super cool to me. When I got mine in the mail you know I had to play right away! I'm not known for my patience with these things, then again when it comes to new crafty goodies are any of us?! Ha! I really wanted to pay attention to different ways of using these embellishments. There are so many awesome ways and I've got 4 to show you today.

First up is versatility. I used the hearts to create a couple by punching hearts in complimentary masculine and feminine colors. I tried to reinforce the "couple" by adding a hair bow and bow tie from It's a Man's World in coordinating colors. That sweet sentiment is from Lil Sweet Peps and fits just perfectly! Sometimes a heart doesn't have to be JUST a heart

In design you sometimes hear different descriptors to pay attention to, one of them is movement. By combining the embellishment hearts with hearts from Sports Fever and Melvin and Vernie you can create a flow across your card that leads the eye. After I stamped the open hearts I trimmed them out and colored them with distress ink before adding them with dimensional adhesive. Speaking of distress ink, that's exactly how I colored my paper for the epoxy embellishments. I love how you can customize these :) *side note* I trimmed the double heart from Sports Fever to get the one solid heart. As long as your careful both hearts remain intact.

With the spectacles set all I could see were these great big heart eyes :) I knew that they would be adorable enough to carry the whole card. I stamped the spectacles then trimmed them out. I used a craft knife to get the "lenses". I punched my hearts out of some fun pattern paper and added them in place of the lenses. I so love that is reinforced by the sentiment from the same set.. Who wouldn't feel the love in this card?!  Embellishments CAN be the star of the show, not just on the sidelines :)

Lastly one of my favorite techniques is highlighting. It can really add interest to your project. I stamped the camera from Little Sweet Peps once on my card base and once on a scrap sheet. I colored the scrap sheet with picked raspberry before punching out the section with the word "love". It's so awesome that you can see where you are punching with the Shape Studio. I added the embellishment by matching it up to the previously stamped camera. Once again I found the perfect sentiment in the same set. I added a banner and some twine to finish.
Thank you so much for coming to visit us today! I hope you've found something to inspire you :)
XoXo
Kelly
