Challenge Me Friday!

Good Morning Sweet Friends!

Actually, it's Nicole is here - today! Tracy is on vacation this week <3 Awwee, we love us some R&R ..... (actually next weekend we're jetting off somewhere ourselves and I can't wait!)

I entered a couple challenges in Tracy's absence (and it was actually SO MUCH FUN!) You know how I love challenges - first up was

This challenge is perfect if you're a visual person and frankly, if you kinda like the whole 'anything goes' challenges (which is ME!) ... They feature a guest designer every month - and the creations from the guest are the *muse* for your creations... This month Jennifer McGuire (yep, THAT Jennifer - SWOON!) from Jennifer McGuire Ink is the guest and here is her card...

I loved the bright - rainbow like - stripes and the 'circle' with the words... I also like that the words are in black - simple... but, SO PRETTY!

So, here is my humble (totally not as awesome) take on the challenge...

I think, now that I see the two cards side by side (mine and Jennifer's) I'm actually lovin' my take on the color scheme of the card! (insert pat on back!) I used a couple different sets with this card ...

I also had time to play with the 'CAS - ology' Challenge this week... I know Tracy has featured this challenge before - but, we just love it so much (and the key word was 'dessert' this week - how could I not?!)

Quick rundown - they give you a 'cue card' (like the one above) and you create anything that strikes your fancy from the cue.... soooooo, here's my card (that I'm crazy in love with - will never ever send to anyone - will keep it on my card wall forever and ever)

I masked the donuts to make a big 'stack' of them - I used my Copic Markers to color them - and then, I embossed the 'nom' in gold... and added a happy birthday to it! Sigh, I'm so pleased with this little gem! <3 Don't you love when you have crafty successes.... whew, I was pretty convinced there for a while that my mojo had left FOR good. :)

Perfect Match

Lastly, I just have a couple 'extra' cards that I've been holding onto - and for your viewing pleasure - there might be one that gives a sneak peek into the new sets coming next week!!

Love that Dia De Los Muertos set - and I really like my watercolor palette right now too! Isn't that background so much fun!?! This set - is just SO much fun to use!!
